Skopa is a technology company. The work falls into six areas. Roles are posted when there is a concrete task behind them; unsolicited applications are welcome in every area.

Engineering for automation

Python or TypeScript, data pipelines, exports from ERP systems, Google Cloud. You build programs that run just as reliably every month and test them against real data.

Data and reporting

Forecast models, reports, reconciliation logic. You think in numbers and turn them into the analyses a finance department needs every month.

Quality and delivery

Parallel runs against the existing manual work, test cases, documentation, handover into operation. You make sure that what is accepted works.

Sales and client advisory

First conversation, demonstration, offer, with finance leads at Swiss SMEs, in German, often on site. You explain a technical solution so that a managing director understands it.

Marketing and content

Website, articles, campaigns, events, in German, French and English. You put Skopa in front of the people who know the Excel month.

Operations and administration

Invoices, CRM upkeep, research, preparing conversations. You keep the business running so the other areas can work.

Reply

Within five working days of receipt: confirmation, access to the application portal and the answer whether the profile fits what Skopa is looking for.

Video introduction

You record a short introduction, two to three minutes, a phone is enough, and upload it in the portal. You choose when.

First interview

45 minutes online, within four weeks. About your work so far and the task at Skopa.

Interview with the founder

60 minutes with Emanuel Flury, in Grenchen or online, within four weeks.

Decision

In writing, with reasons, within five working days of the last interview.

Where is the work done: Grenchen, hybrid or remote?

The location is in every posting: Grenchen, hybrid or remote. For an open application, Skopa discusses the location in the first interview.

Which languages are needed?

Work with clients is in German; documents and code are in English. French helps with clients in Romandy but is not a condition. You can apply in German, French or English.

Do I need a finance background?

No. Skopa builds software for finance departments but is a technology company. A feel for numbers helps in every area; the expertise on closing and reporting is something Skopa brings into the projects.

Do I need a CV?

Not right away. For the first step, three sentences about you are enough. You can attach the CV as PDF or the link to your LinkedIn profile straight away, or add them later in the application portal.

What should the video introduction contain?

Two to three minutes, a phone is enough: who you are, what you did most recently and why Skopa. No editing, no slides. You upload the video in the portal whenever it suits you.

How long does the whole process take?

A reply within five working days, then each interview within four weeks and the decision within five working days of the last interview. The pace also depends on your availability. If Skopa stays silent for more than two weeks, you automatically receive an interim update.

Where do I see where my application stands?

In the application portal. You sign in there with your email address and receive a code — no password. You see every step, can add documents and answer questions.

Can I apply without an open role?

Yes. Skopa accepts open applications at any time and replies within five working days. If the profile fits but no task is open right now, you can agree that Skopa keeps the application for twelve months.

What happens with my data?

Only Skopa sees your documents. They are stored in Switzerland, not transferred to the CRM. They are deleted four months after receipt, or after twelve months with your consent. You can withdraw the application at any time in the portal. Details are in the privacy policy.

How do I prepare for the interview?

Bring an example of your work that you can explain: a program, an analysis, a campaign, a sales conversation, a process you mapped. It is about your work so far and the task at Skopa, not about puzzles.
